Highscorer - Google UX course project
About Highscorer
Highscorer is a arcade high score tracking app prototype. It was created to help users track their high scores from arcades in one centralized place and help encourage personal growth and having a history of scores shows that.
Case Study

Research
Step 1 - conduct interviews
I conducted a series of interviews with potential users to gain insight into what they would want from an app like Highscorer and don’t out this app. Using this information, I created personas to represent our users.
Interview questions
Do you enjoy playing arcade games?
Would you like to keep track of your high scores from arcades? Why or why not
Would you like to just a history of your personal high scores?
Would you like to see other players high scores compared to your own?
How do you feel about manually inputting your high scores?
How much information would you feel comfortable inputting? Personal information + scores
Would you be okay with other people seeing these high scores? Why or why not
Some information gained from these interviews were the following pros and cons
Pros
Have a way to track her high scores for personal improvement
Compare her high scores to other players
Wants to be able show her scores to friends
Wants to keep a personal record of his high scores
To have a motivation to improve at the arcade games he plays
An option where you can record privately and then opt into sharing them would be cool
Cons
Doesn’t want to input a lot of personal information
Doesn’t want to exclusively compare her scores to other players
Doesn’t want to have to look at other players scores
Afraid of comparing himself too other too easily
